Member Committees
Participating in one or more of REMA’s member-led committees is the easiest way for a member to become directly involved in the work of the organization. Committee members help determine the organization’s policies and direction in several key areas of activity. Members of each committee receive timely updates and important information related to the committee's program focus.
As a benefit of membership, all Sustaining and Supporting Members are welcome to join any of the committees.
Federal Policy Committee
This Committee focuses on all federal legislative and regulatory issues important to the voluntary renewable energy market. Committee members help determine the policies and action taken by REMA in this area. This Committee holds a weekly conference call with REMA staff and government affairs representatives in Washington, D.C.
Regional/State Initiatives Committee
This Committee focuses on important state and regional activities related to the purchase and sale of renewable energy and RECs. Committee members help determine the policies and action taken by REMA in this area. This Committee meets on an as-needed basis (typically once a month).
Protocols and Registries Committee
This Committee focuses on key issues for the voluntary renewable energy market related to protocols and registries. Committee members help determine the policies and action taken by REMA in this area. This Committee meets on an as-needed basis (typically once a month).
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee helps identify and address member needs and leads the organization’s efforts membership development. Committee members review member benefits, services and dues structure to ensure they are current with industry trends and technologies. Committee members also assist in recruiting new members to the organization. This Committee meets on an as-needed basis (typically once a month).
